During 1998 the Company substantial increased the size of its offices, and recruited additional staff to assist with further extending the commercial side of the business. In late 2002 the board identified the need to move the business forward with the onset of regulation of the general insurance industry by the Financial Services Authority and bringing the systems upto date to cope with the future needs of the business. As a result two of the Directors, Kevin Hampton and Robert Dalziel put together a management buy out to move the business forward and this was completed in June 2003. The Firm applied to extend its direct authorisation from the Financial Services Authority to include General Insurance and Mortgages in March 2004 receiving its minded to approve letter and subsequently its approval letter on 26 th September 2004. Beach Insurance Brokers provides advice on both a commission and fee basis offering a complete proactive financial planning service using the first software back office system through a franchise with True Financial planning on a fee basis, through to a service which reacts to the clients needs on a commission basis.
Kevin Hampton Kevin Hampton, is the joint Managing Director having joined the company in 1989 to assist and develop the services offered to clients, has a number of years national broker experience, and with his assistance the business has grown steadily, acquiring its own premises in 1990. Kevin was appointed a Director in 1993 with responsibility for the day to day running of the general insurance side of the business. He completed the management buy out with Rob Dalziel in June 2003. Wayne Beach Wayne founded Beach Insurance Brokers in August 1988 after having spent the previous 14 years working for a prominent National Insurance Brokers. The Company, from its formation, specialized in arranging commercial insurance for various types of industries, Manufacturers, Hauliers, Garages, Professions and Services Industries, and also arranging personal insurance. Wayne’s decision in 2002 to step back from overall control and sell his shares in the business was as a result of his and the boards wishes for the business to continue to move forward but handing that responsibility to Kevin Hampton and Robert Dalziel who were more equipped to cope with the forthcoming changes in the industry. Wayne has continued to be employed in the business retaining his wealth of knowledge for the benefit of clients old and new.
Rob Dalziel Rob Dalziel is the joint Managing Director having joined the company in 1993 to run the Financial Services side of the business, to further enhance the services offered to the Company's clients by formalizing the Life and Pensions side of the business. Rob, like Wayne, had some 14 years experience in financial services, and has provided independent advice to numerous clients, both old and new, in the Corporate and Personal sectors, ranging from Pensions and Investments, through Finance, to Life, Critical and Disability insurance. To show the Company's commitment to this service, Rob was appointed a Director of the company at the end of 1995. Rob has achieved relevant qualifications to be authorized to advise on all aspects of pensions, including the complex areas of transfers and self-investment such as property purchase. He completed the management buy out with Kevin Hampton in June 2003. |
